Regions
There are 6 regions for DVD players &
movies. Make sure to get a player that is for your area. Disks that are assigned to
one region cannot be played by a DVD player from another
region.

- If you
have a DVD from regions 2 - 6, before it can be viewed
on an American DVD player needs to be converted to a
region 1 (USA format) DVD. In
addition to different regions, a DVD from another
country would most likely be recorded in the PAL or
SECAM system and that also needs to be converted into
the United States system (NTSC) prior to watching.
